2.1 Type of Competition

Two-stage open competition

Construction Budget US$ 140 Million Service Fee US$ 12.5 Million

2.2 Qualification

Stage One

  • (1)Single tender or Joint tender by Taiwanese tenders.
  • (2)Single tender or Joint tender by International tenders.
  • (3)Joint tender by International and Taiwanese tenders.
A Taiwanese tenderer is a practice licensed Architect registered in Taiwan R.O.C. in accordance with law. An international tenderer is either a licensed Architect registered in foreign country in accordance with foreign country law or a Company or Institution registered in foreign country in accordance with foreign country law and one of the employees is a licensed Architect.

Stage Two
  • (1)Only those selected Shortlisted Tenderers in Stage One can participate in the Stage Two.
  • (2)If the selected Shortlisted Tenderer in Stage One is the International tenderer who has not obtained the permission to practice as an architect in Taiwan according to related laws, the Tenderer shall form a joint tenderer team with Taiwanese tenderer.

2.4 Finalists & Awards

Stage One
No more than FIVE Shortlisted Tenderers shall be selected to enter into Stage Two.
Stage Two
Each of the Shortlist Tenderers submitting the Stage Two Proposal Docu­ments, Presentation Attachment Materials (including Design Drawings, Model and Brief animation.) and conducting the presentation and Q&A shall be awarded a prize of NT$1,600,000. (Approximately US$53,333. The awarded prize money for the winning Tenderer is included in the first payment of the contract and shall be deduct when the first payment of Service Fee.) The above prizes will be subject to the R.O.C. income tax and will be withheld by the KLPC in accordance with the law of tax.
